Shuttle Driver (part time)

Landmark College is currently seeking a part-time Shuttle Driver to operate College-owned, leased, or rented vehicles to provide safe and dependable transportation for students, faculty, and staff to and from designated locations; maintain published bus schedules and routes; operate special shuttles during the opening, closing, and break periods of the College year-round.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Operate campus passenger shuttle vehicles and provide routine assistance in support of transportation services.
  • Operate special shuttle schedules during campus opening and closing periods, and the start and end of break periods to include shuttle trips to the nearby bus and train stations, nearby airports, and local hotels, as well as during new student and family orientation.
  • Operate shuttles for student clubs and organizations, student internships, athletics teams, academic field trips, and other general requests across the Northeast region. Provide transportation for students to medical appointments, to and from the hospital, and to the pharmacy as available.
  • Ability to safely operate the vehicle in all types of weather, including inclement weather.
  • Complete a pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle being used, report any damage or mechanical failures, and maintain appropriate records. Submit reports to the Facilities Department at the end of each trip or shift. Ensure that the vehicle is clear of any trash and/or debris at the end of each shift. Complete a shuttle log that will include rider participation, location, and any extraordinary incident documentation. Submit regular logs to Student Affairs.
  • Enforce the College's Student Code of Conduct and submit an incident report for any violations or concerning incidents or behavior.
  • Check College assigned e-mail address regularly for communications and the schedule regarding services.
  • Maintain strong customer service when engaging with students, parents, staff, and faculty.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to all College policies and procedures. Assist Student Affairs and all other College personnel as requested.
  • Operate other shuttle services as assigned by the Dean of Students and Director of Student Engagement or designee.
