Associate Dean of Online Learning

Landmark College seeks to expand its online and study away programs delivered through an integrated organizational support structure of LC Online. The Associate Dean of Online Learning will work collaboratively with offices and academic departments across the College to establish, nurture, and expand online and hybrid programs for undergraduate students. This position is charged with developing and implementing a vision that results in increased enrollment while maintaining quality and an unwavering focus on supporting neurodivergent learners. The priority is to coordinate the LC Online team to bring innovation, vision, and growth to our online and study away offerings.

Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, this on-campus position is responsible for coordinating the LC Online team and overseeing the delivery of undergraduate academic online and curricula and the online student experience. The Associate Dean of Online Learning is charged with ensuring that courses and programs delivered online, or hybrid consistently meet or exceed LC quality standards (e.g., academic, student support, online seal of quality, customer service, etc.) and are positioned for growth. The director will serve as the project manager responsible for guiding an ongoing assessment process that reviews course design, course completion, student progress, and program design while identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Higher Education, Instructional Design and Technology, Instructional Systems, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of managerial and administrative experience directly related to distance learning and/or instructional technology in higher education is preferred.
  • Experience in online program development and management, including assessment of student outcomes.
  • Familiarity with using the Canvas Learning Management System and related tools for curriculum delivery and assessment.
  • Understanding of learning differences and familiarity with ADA accommodations.
  • Ability to collaborate and work closely with other College departments to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated student focus and an understanding of managing a service organization.
