More Neurodiversity Pride and Art

Week three---and students are continuing to remain plugged into classwork and exploring Dutch culture.

The woman in the back row is Annabelle van Nieuwekoop-Read, who runs "Nurturing Neurodiversity Netherlands." Annabelle shared her story, her work and invited students to share their own stories.

Prof. Hannah assigned a few books that students chose from and shared what they learned to rest of class. Marion, Emma, and Will collaborated to present their findings.

Friday morning, we were invited to visit the largest ADHD Clinic in NL:  ADHD Centraal Amsterdam.  Students learned the similarities and differences in how to diagnose and treat ADD/ADHD.  We learned clients meet with both a nurse practicioner and a psychologist (Shy and Gen by psychologiest room) when getting diagnosed. PJ and Kayla point to the lovely plants Landmark College donated to contribute to a comfortable environment in their office.

Some students continued on Friday to see a bit more of Amsterdam including the narrowest house (Singel 7) and stunning artwork at the National Rijksmuseum.
