First Full Day in Berlin

After everyone mostly got a good night's sleep, we had class in the morning and a field trip in the afternoon to visit one of Hitler's unrealized visions: the building of a grand boulevard through the city after his presumed victory in the war. Thankfully, he and his engineers only got as far as creating massive piling to test how well it could hold the weight of the road. The crumbling remnant of that site, the Shwerbelastungkorper, was our destination today. We took a half an hour walk through teeming Berlin streets and the beauitiful Victoria Park to get there.
