Finishing Up in NL

We have been super lucky with the weather. Saturday's optional excursion was to the oldest Botanical Garden in the Netherlands. Horticus Botanical was started in 1509 as part of Leiden University, and it is beautiful, educational, and historic.

Sunday morning was our first gray day!

Students experienced Dutch bureaucracy by trying to navigate through the long and complicated residence hall contract. Finally, on our final day, we resorted to walking to the management office to complete the process in person.

Final full day today was stunning at the North Sea! Students braved the chilly waters or relaxed on the beach.  We enjoyed our final group meal at a lovely beach restaurant where each student received a personalized postcard. We also took a moment to honor Juneteenth. Tomorrow everyone heads home with a new perspective on education, culture, and themselves.
