Arrival in Botswana
After a brief photo op twelve students and program director proceeded to the South African Airways ticket desk at JFK for boarding passes and to offload our luggage. Then after flying over 14 hours and 8000 + miles we arrived in Maun on Monday afternoon. Although weary travelers, we are wide-eyed for the adventures ahead. We found the Okavango River Lodge to be an oasis and enjoyed our first meal together at the picnic tables overlooking the river. Internet access strong enough to send the blog seems elusive. Early morning seems like the best option.
