Post-Graduate Assistant – Drake Center

The Drake Center seeks an assistantship position to cover the front desk reception needs and provide quality customer service. The candidate will assist with administrative tasks in the Drake Center and will care for the center by cleaning, organizing/updating materials, and taking on projects and tasks as need arises. This is a Landmark College Post-Graduate Assistantship Program (PGAP) position, and only available for recent Landmark College (LC) graduates. Department: Drake Center
Days and Times Needed: Sunday-Thursday afternoons and evenings, Friday flex hours for documentation and development/organization of materials
Dress Requirements: Casual
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cover the front desk, greet students in the center, and check students into appointments
  • Manage the Drake Center email inbox into the evening
  • Answer student and staff questions/concerns in the Drake Center
  • Assist students as they book appointments Manage emergent day-of staff needs
  • Develop and organize documentation and materials
  • Manage appointments (e.g., scheduling, cancellations, etc.)
  • Answer the phone
  • Follow cleaning protocols
  • Work on small admin projects
  • Data entry
  • Assist with administrative tasks (writing, flyers, data)
  • Organize and supplement resource materials and inventory Assist with workshops, group studies, etc.
  • Create inventory of supplies, materials
  • Create and conduct surveys
  • Create materials (e.g., flyers, social media) to promote Drake Center services

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience working in customer service
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organizational skills

Learning Objectives/Opportunities For Student:

  • Gain customer service and coordination experience
  • Develop skills in the development of work and training materials
  • Gain experience managing student needs and day-of scheduling needs (covering and rearranging appts for staff illness and student cancellations)

Occasional light lifting and moving (non-essential)
