“Futures” Gala Raises Nearly $400,000 for Landmark College

Landmark College announced it raised nearly $400,000 during the “Futures. We Get There Together” gala fundraiser, held April 18 at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York City.

Over 150 people attended the gala, either in-person or via a live web stream. Proceeds from the event will provide scholarship and programmatic support for current and future residential program and LC Online Landmark College students.

Deborah Roberts of ABC News was the event’s featured speaker. As the mother of a current student, the co-anchor of “20/20” and New York Times bestselling author’s remarks focused on how Landmark College has benefitted her son.

“There was a place for our ambitious dreamer to again defy expectations,” said Roberts. “We were beyond excited.”

Rebecca Jarvis, a colleague of Roberts at ABC News, was also a special guest. The “Good Morning America” host shared how she came to know Landmark College through her friendship with the father of a current student.

“I am so proud to be here, well past my bedtime, to support Landmark’s mission in ensuring students who learn differently are empowered to find, and then build on their strengths, while discovering strategies for long-term success for life off-campus in the future,” said Jarvis.

During the event, the College also presented John Bagge with the Founders Award for his role in helping Dr. Charles Drake establish the Putney, Vermont campus, and gave special recognition to Roger and Ruth MacFarlane, whose foundation has been instrumental in supporting the College.

Landmark College wishes to thank the following corporate sponsors whose support made the “Futures. We Get There Together” gala fundraiser possible: Audacy, Inc., Belfort Group, Chartwells/Compass Group, Connection/Lenovo, Goodenough Rubbish Removal, GPI Construction, Howard Printing, Leader Distribution Systems, The Melanson Co., Modern Mechanical Solutions, Morgan Stanley, The Richards Group, TD Bank, and Winston Preparatory School.
