I am sharing my story today in hopes it will encourage you to make a gift to the Landmark College Annual Fund. Landmark was there for me after I flunked out of my first college. I had attended the Summer Program for High School Students at Landmark, so when I was ready to try college again I decided it might be a good fit for me.

Not only do Landmark’s professors go above and beyond to assist their students, the quality of the academic program is also notable. I recently took a Computer Science course at Villanova University and found the skills I learned at Landmark put me on par with other students in that class.

Additionally, I made strides socially while at LC. I participated in Landmark’s Study Abroad trips to Australia and Botswana. It’s amazing to think that I went from struggling in social situations to talking with African villagers about planting chili peppers to keep elephants from trampling their gardens. That would not have been possible without Landmark’s comprehensive approach to supporting students.

Now that I am a graduate, Landmark helped me get my first professional job as a software engineer for EY (formerly Ernst & Young). The Career Connections staff linked me with EY’s Neurodiversity Centers for Excellence program, and they hired me within a month after graduation! I use the organizational skills I learned at LC every day at my job and I use stress management techniques that I learned to keep a calm and clear mind.

I would not have been able to afford Landmark College without financial aid, so my success can be directly attributed to people like you. Your generosity creates the opportunities for international travel that shaped me, and a career connections department that helped me find meaningful employment.

Please consider making a gift today and help students like me receive the education and support we need to become thriving adults. Thank you.

Sincerely,
