Dr. Michelle Bower began her career as a junior computer programmer/mathematician for the US Navy. Later, as a high school Mathematics and Physics instructor, she taught High School students in Indiana. Her path led her to higher education and teaching future educators and eventually to Landmark College in 2008. Through her background as a mathematics educator, she creates learning environments to inspire students to engage in mathematics and face their mathematics anxiety. Her research interests are in overcoming mathematics anxiety, language genres in the mathematics classroom, and technology.
