Center for Women and Gender
The Center for Women and Gender seeks to foster a critical awareness of gender and gender identity.
The Women’s Center was created in 2012 as a club and safe space for female-identifying students only, until it joined the Centers for Diversity and Inclusion in 2014 and became what it is today. Now, the Center for Women and Gender (CWAG) seeks to foster a critical awareness of gender and gender identity. The Center for Women and Gender is a safe space accessible to students of all genders that serves as a resource and forum for topics and issues related to female-identifying students and, more broadly, for how students experience gender at Landmark College and in the larger world.
The Center aims to promote learning about and exploring gender identity through personal experience, academic inquiry, community organizing, activism, and discussion.
Every Sunday, the Center co-sponsors CWAGletics with Athletics, Fitness, and Recreation, offering a safe space to work out for female-identifying students and aimed at lowering the barrier to entry for fitness on our campus.
The Center for Women and Gender and all sponsored programming are open to all students at Landmark College.
