- Daily travel may include walking, trains, trams, buses, taxis
- Enjoy day excursions such as historic/cultural sites, visits to Amsterdam and other cities, and North Sea beaches

Special Considerations
Consider the following to determine if this course is the right fit for you.
Free time/Independence: Variable
During free time, program leaders will offer optional activities. However, students who want to explore independently will have plenty of opportunities to do so.
Physical Demands: Moderate
Biking competency is important for some outings, but alternative transportation is possible.
Transitions: Low
The program stays in the same housing for the full three weeks. The schedule includes daily travel and a couple of day excursions, guided by program directors.
Stimuli: Low-Moderate
Program housing is outside of the city center, and Leiden is a small city. Program activities include day excursions and interaction with local teachers, students, and others in educational and social settings.
Language Difficulty: LOW
There is no real language barrier, as most Dutch people speak fluent English.
The prerequisites for this course are EDU1001/1011 and WRT1012, and good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or above) OR permission of the department chair.
