Upper Campus Commons

The Upper Campus Commons (UCC) is the first initiative in a newly announced capital campaign to transform the Landmark’s campus into one intentionally designed for Landmark’s mission and the community we serve.

As the first new building project in a decade, the UCC will provide students with contemporary space intentionally designed to facilitate both structured and informal social skills development.

The UCC will serve as a “campus living room” for students. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Upper Campus Commons provides a space for students to engage in solitary activity in proximity to others, gather informally in small groups, or join with fellow students for organized social activity and other programming.

The design of the UCC grew out of listening sessions with students about what kinds of improvements they would like to see on campus. Students will continue to be involved in decision-making about the interior finishes and furnishings, and the lessons and insights learned through this project will be applied to future capital projects on campus.
