Self-scripting/Self-talk

For students and professionals, self-scripting or self-talk is the ability to communicate internally with yourself as a mechanism to increase focus and motivation, especially when that script is positive. Earth Coaching suggest that for neurodivergent individuals, “One powerful tool that can make a significant difference in boosting self-esteem and self-worth is the practice of positive affirmations.” The University of North Carolina provides some tips on the uses of self-scripting on their Learning Center website.  Find places to incorporate positive self-talk strategies in academic, social, and professional settings as well as using it as a strategy to build confidence!
