Kevin Keith

Kevin Keith has spent the past 16 years at Landmark College, where he teaches primarily computer science. Kevin credits computer programming with giving him a career and a life he has greatly enjoyed. Early in his time at Landmark, he helped create the College’s first computer science degree program, giving him the opportunity to share that experience with his students.

What continues to make the work interesting is the challenge of thinking differently about a subject and finding ways to meet students halfway. “A computer isn’t going to learn to think like us — we have to learn to think like it,” Kevin often tells his students. While computers have no flexibility in how they think, people have an extraordinary capacity to learn, adapt, and find their own ways of solving problems, and his students continually remind him that there is no single way to accomplish that.
