Location

Jim Koskoris has been an educator at Landmark College since 2000. He began as a tutor who provided students with one-on-one support and guidance in reading, study skills, and math. In 2004, as a charter member of the Business program he was instrumental in the development of the business/entrepreneurship track. He taught and/or developed curricula for eighteen courses in the areas of accounting, business, finance, economics, management, and marketing. He retired from classroom teaching in 2023 but continues to work on a part-time basis at the DCAS. He has lived overseas for 29 years and brings a multi-cultural perspective and sensitivity to his interactions. He is passionate about helping students devise hands-on methods for learning content and study skills concepts that will help them achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.

Academic Interests

Continue to develop instructional methods to increase overall financial literacy for all students.

Beginning stages of conducting a project that analyzes the effectiveness of visual/spatial learning aids devised to teach core business concepts to LD students.

Involves devising handouts and other projected-on-screen visuals using programs like PowerPoint and Inspiration.

Will establish a survey to measure student opinions of devices employed to teach specific business concepts.
