Hann Bingham Brunner holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Rhetoric from Oklahoma State University, with a focus in disability studies and neurodiversity. They teach WRT 1011 and other first-year writing courses. Their work focuses on disability and identity, and the ways that these intersect with chronic illness, neurodivergence, and chronic pain. They are the recipient of the GPSGA Outstanding Graduate Teacher Award (2024), the AUCD Emerging Leader Scholarship (2023) and were a semi-finalist for the Heumann-Armstrong award for disability activism in education, the Carol G. Preston Award for Social Justice Research (2022), the Gene Halleck award for Teaching Excellence (2021) and the EQuAl (Employee Queers and Allies) scholarship (2020).
