Ryan Manley, Transfer student: The big push to come here was going to Texas Tech University for two years. I really struggled and my family kept, you know, pushing me to try it out. I came up here at the beginning of summer to visit and that's kind of what turned me on to it, was visiting, meeting the professors, getting on campus, actually putting faces to names.
So the learning environment at Landmark is definitely a lot different from a big school like I went to. You definitely begin to feel like a number at such a big school, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but Landmark definitely opens the doors in the sense of getting engaged with not just your own class and the classes that you're in, but different classes around you.
Different faculty outside of the ones that you immediately engage with, different outside activities, it really starts to make you feel like you're a part of this community here, and that's something that can be really hard to find when you first step into such a big school and I think Landmark it does a much better job of opening those doors.
