Indigo Pagán, student: My name is Indigo Pagán. This is my second semester here at Landmark College. I'm taking a bachelor's degree in Studio Arts. I was diagnosed in elementary school with five disabilities. I went to community college. My second semester there, I started taking English and writing classes and I started getting stuck because college courses were going extremely fast. They would send me to support sessions that was like another 50 kids with no one-on-one support. My motivation started to crash. My mom heard of Landmark College. She brought me here unexpectedly, so I had an interview, not knowing it was a college interview. 

Kevin Mayne, Vice President for Enrollment Management: Here at Landmark College, we have a really holistic approach to a student applying for admission. We assign an admissions counselor that is sort of their personalized conduit from wherever they're starting out. 

Pagán: The Admissions crew at Landmark College is very welcoming, and my interview in Admissions had nothing to do with my academic position. It was more of what my interests were, what I was looking for, and what I wanted to achieve in life. After the interview, they immediately had me fill out an application. 

Mayne: The education process that we provide and the support we provide as a college begins from the first moment of contact that we have with the student. We are guiding them. We are helping them to manage their time.

Pagán: I got accepted and I came to Accepted Student Day. I met with an advisor, and there I was able to apply for my housing. I was able to apply for my academics with the support of advisors. And so when I came here in the fall, I was all set. All I had to do was go to class, get to work. My goal is to be an audio engineer. I have class during the day, and in the evening, my classes turn into a support session where you can get one-on-one help. As I've been here for two semesters, I'm understanding more of the math and the English and the science stuff. I needed the academic support. I had my interview and I wanted to be here. I really, really wanted to be here.
