How to "Grab and Go" in the Landmark College Dining Hall

Video Transcript

Student 1: A new grab-and-go system? How would that work? Huh...

[Magic chime sound effect]

Student 2: Are you heading to class?

Student 1: After I get one of the grab-and-go meals.

Student 2: Oh cool, how does that work?

Student 1: I don't know.

Cafeteria Staff: I'm so glad you asked. We ask five dollars for the container.

Student 1: Nice, no problem.

Cafeteria Staff: Nice! Now you're a member of the grab-and-go program.

[Loud air horn]

Cafeteria Staff: And you won't have to pay your fee again this semester as long as you bring back the rinsed-out, used container for a fresh one next time you want to grab-and-go.

[Text on screen: The one-time Grab-and-Go box fee is separate from the regular fee.]

Student 1: A grab-and-go meal counts as a regular meal swipe on your meal plan, or the regular door rates if you're on the Dining Dollar retail plan. You'll be able to use this program a maximum of five times a week. You can take your container through the line and serve yourself a reasonable amount of food.

[Text on screen: A reasonable amount of food means it must fit inside the container.]

Student 1: And as a bonus, you can then enjoy your meal wherever and whenever you like. Huh, here I am enjoying my new grab-and-go meal in Aiken basement. What a nice location for me to enjoy my food in.

[Pause]

Oh, I didn't see you there. What a wonderful place to enjoy my food: the crow's nest of the student center. Huh, class is about to start. Good thing I got here with my grab-and-go.

At this point you probably think you're done—psych! You're not, because there's more...

[Text on screen: But Wait...There's More!]

[Music]

And don't forget to clean out your container before you bring it back. That way you can get a clean one. But first, empty all the remaining food into the trash, then rinse it out in the sink with hot, soapy water.

Fill, enjoy, rinse and repeat. You too, can enjoy the grab-and-go program. Get your container today.
