Trip Impressions from Student Freddie O'Farrell

1st photo: Scarlet Macaw, beautiful and fantastic in the wild! I had only seen them in captivity, but to see them soaring above is magnificent.

Rainbow colored bird perches on tree limb.

2nd photo: Dart frog, they are a lot smaller than i had imagined. Our guide mentioned that their counterparts in South America is deadlier. "You can eat anything in the forest, some things just once"

Small brown frog with black legs perched on tree limb visible behind a chewed up green leaf in the foreground. It's body is turned partly away from camera.

3rd photo: Me pulling Cassava root! I think it speaks to how immersive the trip has been. How many people have the opportunity to pull Cassava in Costa Rica!!

Student with dark mustache and beard wearing white wide-brimmed hat and a bright patterned shirt smiles at the camera while holding up a long brown root.

4th photo: Millipede, the Cyanide spewing millipede!!! These creatures are prehistoric looking and are everywhere here at La Selva!

Overhead image of black and yellow millipede walking on wet leaves.

Overall, this has been an amazing experience with lots of great immersion into Costa Rican culture and their beautiful environment.
