Soho Place Theater

After reading and discussing James Graham's play, "This House," and visiting the Houses of Parliament, we ventured out for our second theater performance at the Soho Place theater: a production of "Kyoto," by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson. Kyoto has a similar style and feel to the action of "This House." Both productions include a large cast of characters working collaboratively and often combatively in their efforts to navigate complex political issues and systems of government. While "This House" explores the events leading up to the British hung parliament of 1974, “Kyoto” explores the negotiations that took place between representatives of world nations in their efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions at the 1997 climate conferences.
