New Year's Optional Activities and Events

Alicia, Justin, Marion, and Quinn, pictured in front of the Tower Bridge on the Thames River, were among those who braved the elements tonight to participate in the New Year’s Eve festivities.  Although we didn’t get as close to the fireworks display as we would have liked, it was fun to be able to rub shoulders with the many Londoners who took part in the celebration, particularly since this was the first New Year’s event fully open to the public since the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Marion and Charlotte were adventurous enough to join us for the London New Year’s Day parade today, which began at the Ritz in Piccadilly, wound its way down Regent’s Street to Pall Mall and Whitehall, and finished at Westminster.

The Parade attractions included an inflatable Beefeater, and many commonwealth countries were represented in the featured performances, music, and floats.
