Hiking Arsenal Volcano National Park

My experience hiking up to the volcano's base at Arenal Volcano National Park represented a beautiful view in the distance where we saw Lake Arenal. The group could not walk beyond a certain point because the volcano was too dangerous to climb.

A view of a lake and mountains in the distance from a footbridge surrounded by tall green plants. The sky is almost completely covered by clouds.

The trail had all kinds of fascinating wildlife, including the yellow baby pit viper snake. Pit vipers produce young of different colors in adaptation to separate their niches. While I was not allowed to approach the snake too closely since getting too close to it would scare it away, taking a photo of it was inspiring and memorable for me as one of the essential parts of my time here in Costa Rica.

Our group is having the thrill of a lifetime working collaboratively with each other throughout our travels! Everybody is so friendly and positive here in the country because Costa Rica is one of the happiest places in the world.
