First Full Day in Tokyo!

Our Tokyo adventure officially began today with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before heading to the Morishita Cultural Center for our program orientation, led by Mariko Ishikawa from IES. Mariko met us at the hotel and walked with us to the center, where she gave an overview of what to expect during our three-week stay in Japan. (You can check out the center here.)

After orientation, we all took the subway together and enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch as a group. It was a great chance to relax, recharge, and start getting to know each other.

Back at the hotel meeting space, we launched into a neighborhood scavenger hunt designed to help everyone get familiar with our new surroundings. With clues to solve and local spots to discover, it turned into a fun and interactive way to explore—and yes, there were prizes!
