Final Days in Edinburgh, Scotland
After a group dinner across the river in the old town of Edinburgh, we embarked on one last outing to the Royal Botanic Gardens prior to the conclusion of our study abroad program in Scotland. The Botanic Gardens are situated on more than 70 acres of land and include glass houses with different climatic zones, rock gardens and streams, woodland gardens featuring Caledonian pines, a Scottish Heath Garden, and a Fossil Courtyard. The Botanic Gardens gave students one last opportunity to observe elements of urban wildness before completing their final papers on the definition of wildness and journeying back across the pond and/or continuing their travels in Europe.
