A Day in St. Albans
After a short overland train from London, we arrived in the quaint town of St. Albans. We visited the majestic cathedral which is named for the martyr, St. Alban and enjoyed learning about the architecture and history of the building by a very informed and enthusiastic guide.
Afterwards, we walked through an extremely large park past soccer goals, playground equipment, and a remnant of an authentic Roman wall. From there we visited the Hyocaust, an entire Roman floor with a beautiful tiled design that had radiant heat below it!
Our last stop was the Verulamium Museum where we learned about everyday life in Roman Britain.
