Whitney Packer of LC Online Named Rising Star by US Distance Learning Association

Every year the US Distance Learning Association (USDLA) recognizes excellence in the distance/digital learning profession as part of their international awards program. This year, the USDLA has named LC Online Assistant Director Whitney Packer as the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Janet McMahill Rising Star Award!

"Our international awards program is a time for celebration as we honor those who work tirelessly to improve the experience for remote learners worldwide. The USDLA is proud of this year's winners and pleased to recognize their accomplishments," said Valary Oleinik, President of the USDLA. 

In nominating Packer, Charles Sengstock, Associate Dean of Online Learning, said that Packer "approaches her work with a positive attitude and growth mindset. Nobody has had one negative thing to say about Whitney - the only thing I have heard is 'If you need something done correctly and quickly, send it to Whitney.' I cannot think of a better person to receive the Dr. McMahill Rising Star Award."
