Landmark College Welcomes Three New Members to Board of Trustees

Landmark College, the nation's first accredited college designed exclusively for students who learn differently, has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees: Scott Tozier, Wendy Svarre, and Ken Gobbo.

"We are delighted to welcome Scott, Wendy, and Ken to our Board of Trustees," said President Jim Dlugos, Ph.D. "Each brings a distinct depth of experience — in financial stewardship, in building global consumer brands, and in the practice of teaching neurodivergent students — that will strengthen our governance and advance our mission. Their collective insight will help guide Landmark College through its next chapter of growth."

Scott Tozier brings decades of senior financial leadership to the Board. He recently retired as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a Fortune 500 company and global leader in providing essential elements for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health, where from 2011 to 2023 he led a worldwide team responsible for financial management, M&A, sustainability, and other key functions. He previously spent 16 years with Honeywell in senior financial roles across the United States, Australia, and Europe. A certified public accountant, Tozier holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He currently serves on the boards of International Paper (NYSE: IP) and Ashland, Inc. (NYSE: ASH), chairing audit committees at both, and brings extensive experience in financial oversight and corporate governance to Landmark College.

Wendy Svarre brings a distinguished record of executive leadership in the global consumer and luxury goods sectors. She served for nine years as CEO of Hunter Boot USA, where she grew annual revenue from under $1 million to more than $100 million before going on to oversee the brand's global sales. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years as a senior executive at Chanel, leading its accessories business, and co-founded a handbag company that secured luxury distribution through Jonathan Adler. She began her career as a buyer at Bloomingdale's before moving into private label at Barneys. Svarre holds a B.S. from the Fashion Institute of Technology, and brings deep expertise in brand building, sales strategy, and organizational growth to the Board.

Ken Gobbo joins the Board as Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Landmark College, where he has more than thirty years of experience teaching students who learn differently. He continues to work with the College's Center for Research and Training, teaching a course on autism within the certificate program in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity. During his tenure, Gobbo served as dean of students and director of study abroad programs in England and Costa Rica. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, including Disability Studies Quarterly, College Teaching, and the Journal of College Counseling, and is the author of Dyslexia and Creativity: Diverse Minds, Social and Emotional Support for Autistic College Students, and The Future of Neurodiversity. His work centers on the neurodiversity movement and identity development among college students with learning differences.

The new trustees join Landmark College at a pivotal moment in its growth as it continues to expand its programs and its national leadership in education for neurodivergent learners.
