Landmark College Welcomes an Incoming Class and Inaugurates President Jim Dlugos
Landmark College welcomed both an incoming class of students as well as a new President on Saturday, August 30th, in a combined convocation and inauguration ceremony. Over 160 students hailing from 29 states and countries were formally welcomed to the College during the convocation, during which they received their academic charge and a Landmark College challenge coin to carry with them during their studies and beyond.
Following the convocation proceedings, Jim Dlugos, PhD, was officially installed as the College's fifth President during the ceremony, which featured remarks from United States Senator Peter Welch as well as student, faculty, and alumni leaders. Opening Remarks from the Dlugos Family
The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from President Dlugos' family, led by his wife Melissa and daughter Sophie.
Student Perspective: Grace Nelson
Student Government President Grace Nelson offered her insights to the incoming class of LC Sharks, encouraging students to conquer their fears and put themselves out there.

Alumnus Nathaniel Campbell reflected upon his experience at Landmark College and how it has prepared him for career and personal success.
Faculty Perspective: Eric Rhomberg
Assistant Professor of Biology Eric Rhomberg addressed students and families from the perspective of an educator.
Keynote Address: Rep. Mike Mrowicki and US Senator Peter Welch
US Senator Peter Welch provided the keynote address for the ceremony, and was introduced by Putney State Representative Mike Mrowicki.
Special Guest of the Dlugos Family: Dr. Liz Wiesen
Dr. Liz Wiesen worked closely with President Dlugos at the College of St. Joseph's in Maine, and spoke to her experience as a colleague of his.
Inauguration Ceremony and Remarks: Barbara Epifanio, Jim Olivier, and Dr. Jim Dlugos
Chair of the Board of Trustees Barbara Epifanio and the College's first president, Jim Olivier, officially presented Jim Dlugos with the Presidential Medallion before Dlugos gave remarks.
Closing Remarks: Daniel Cabaniss
Student Daniel Cabaniss offered closing remarks and presented President Dlugos with a gift on behalf of his first incoming class as President.
