Landmark College is proud to announce a new partnership with Cumberland Academy of Georgia, parent organization of College at Cumberland, as part of a continual strategy for innovation in the neurodiverse community

For College at Cumberland, this partnership marks a transformative step forward for postsecondary education in the Southeast by bringing a dedicated, neurodiversity-focused college experience to the Atlanta metropolitan area. College at Cumberland will offer an inclusive and supportive environment where students who learn differently can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Accepted students will be able to take fully-accredited Landmark College courses for up to two years, potentially earning an associate degree as well as creating a pathway into a four-year college program after their time at College at Cumberland.

“We are thrilled to partner with Landmark College, a true leader in the field of neurodiverse education,” said Debbi Scarborough, Founder & Head of School at Cumberland Academy of Georgia. “Together, we are reimagining what higher education can look like by empowering students to reach their full potential in a setting built specifically for their strengths and needs.”

The program will combine Landmark College’s proven curriculum and expertise teaching neurodivergent learners with the strong foundation and individualized support already established at College at Cumberland, including life skills development, career readiness training, and social-emotional support — all designed to promote student success both in and beyond the classroom.

"Throughout its 40-year history, Landmark College has always sought to meet students where they are on their academic journey. College at Cumberland is a physical manifestation of that promise,” said Landmark College President Dr. James Dlugos. “We’re excited to continue expanding our range of offerings for neurodivergent learners through this collaboration with Cumberland Academy of Georgia."

Classes are scheduled to begin in Fall 2025, with applications for the inaugural cohort open now. The program is ideal for students seeking a college experience that provides both academic rigor and the support necessary for long-term achievement and independence.
