Vermont Governor Phil Scott (R-Berlin) has officially proclaimed the week of Sunday, September 21-Saturday, September 27 as Landmark College 40th Anniversary Celebration Week in Vermont.

The executive proclamation recognizes that "people who learn differently - whether due to autism, dyslexia, attention deficit disorders, executive function challenges, or otherwise - have historically faced major impediments to fair, accessible, and quality education," and recounts the College's history in becoming "the world's first accredited college for people with learning disabilities and learning differences." The proclamation goes on to recognize Landmark College for becoming "a global leader in advancing accessibility, inclusion, and opportunity for those who learn differently."

The proclamation also cites the positive economic and community impacts Landmark College has in Southern Vermont as one of the region's largest year-round employers, and as an institution that has "been exemplary neighbors in Windham County, supporting numerous charities, non-profits, and small businesses throughout their tenure."

Landmark College will be officially celebrating it's 40th Anniversary on Saturday, September 27th.
