The Landmark College Esports team fell short of their Rocket League championship goal Monday night against Simpson College. Coach Eric Gobel-Lynch still considered it a successful season.

“I’m incredibly proud of how this team conducted themselves this season. Achieving an undefeated regular season, and a run to the finals amidst a coaching change and other challenges is a testament to their determination, dedication, and skill,” said Gobel-Lynch. “Many thanks to all of them for their hard work and great representation of what Landmark students are capable of.”

The Sharks had a dominant regular season, winning the East 12 Division with a 6-0 record and then sailing through the semifinals. Landmark College has reached the playoffs in all three years of the program’s history.
