Antioch University, Landmark College partnership adds third master's option
Professionals expanding their knowledge of neurodiversity through the Landmark College Institute for Research & Training (LCIRT) certificate program now have the option to pursue an Individualized Master of Arts from Antioch University.
This master’s program is one of three at Antioch University that accepts credits from Landmark College’s postbaccalaureate Certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity (LDN) program. In 2024, the College announced that Antioch would accept credits from the certificate program toward a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or the Master of Education for Experienced Educators.
Students can begin by applying for the Landmark College certificate program or can apply to take certificate courses while enrolled in an Antioch University master’s degree. The Certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity has three areas of specialization: Executive Function, Autism on Campus and Online, or Postsecondary Disability Services.
For an Individualized Master of Arts, candidates choose a pathway in Humanities or Social Sciences. According to the Antioch University website, students can transfer up to 15 semester credits, which may include up to nine credits from professional experience.
“In so many fields that involve the social sciences or the humanities, you encounter the need to better understand how people learn, and to better understand neurodiversity in general,” said Certificate Program Coordinator Carol Beninati. “Incorporating certificate courses in this additional Antioch program gives Antioch students the opportunity to build neurodiversity expertise and expands professional development opportunities for our certificate program participants.”
