Landmark College is seeking a Learning Specialist to join its West Coast Success Center and extend Landmark’s nationally recognized expertise in supporting neurodivergent learners to students and clients throughout the California Bay Area and beyond.

The West Coast Success Center provides personalized educational services to neurodivergent adolescents, college students, young adults, and adults, delivered both in person and online. Services focus on executive function, academic strategies, self-advocacy, transition support, and the development of independence and autonomy across college, work, and life.

About the Position

The Learning Specialist provides individualized, strengths-based support that helps students and clients achieve their self-identified academic and life goals. A central focus of the position is student/client success and retention—building strong relationships, supporting engagement, monitoring progress, and helping learners develop strategies they can apply across settings.

What You'll Do

• Provide individualized executive function coaching and academic support to neurodivergent learners. 
• Develop skills in planning, organization, time management, prioritization, task initiation, attention, goal setting, problem solving, and metacognition. 
• Support academic strategies, self-advocacy, independence/autonomy, and successful transitions to college, employment, and independent adulthood. 
• Provide services both in person and online, including at the Success Center and partner campuses. 
• Establish goals collaboratively and monitor engagement, retention, progress, and outcomes. 
• Apply strengths-based, neurodiversity-informed approaches responsive to individual learners. 
• Maintain appropriate documentation and use outcome data to inform practice and continuous improvement. 
• Collaborate with Success Center colleagues, Landmark College departments, families, and institutional partners. 
• Connect students/clients with additional Landmark College services and resources when appropriate. 

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Counseling, Student Affairs, Social Work, or a related field. 
• Experience working with neurodivergent adolescents, college students, young adults, or adults. 
• Experience providing executive function coaching, academic support, learning strategies, transition support, accessibility services, or related educational services. 
• Knowledge of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, executive function, and other learning differences. 
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and documentation skills. 
• Ability to provide services both online and in person and work occasionally evenings/weekends. 

Preferred:

• Several years of experience in secondary or postsecondary education or student-success services. 
• Experience supporting neurodivergent adults in workplace or career-transition settings. 
• Familiarity with nondirective coaching approaches. 
• Experience with online/hybrid services, institutional partnerships, and outcome assessment.

Compensation: 

At Landmark College, our compensation philosophy reflects our institutional values, our commitment to fairness and equity, and our role as a transformative educational community. The compensation for the above position is $45 - $50 per hour.
