Administrative Coordinator for Student Success

Primary Function

The Administrative Assistant for Student Success supports advising, career, and academic support services by managing appointment scheduling, student internship paperwork and time tracking, organizing and maintaining records, and providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and families. This position serves as a primary point of contact at the front desk of the Drake Center for Academic Support and contributes to student success, retention, and engagement initiatives.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three to five years of administrative support, customer service, student services, or office management experience required.
  • Experience working in a higher education, educational, nonprofit, or service-oriented environment preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, maintaining records, and handling confidential information in accordance with FERPA and College policies.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting advising, career services, academic support, or student affairs functions.
    Familiarity with student information systems and scheduling software.
    Knowledge of TutorTrac, Handshake, or similar student support platforms preferred.
    Experience creating promotional materials, communications, or social media content.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Cover the front desk, answer the phone, greet students in the center, and check students into appointments.
  • Support students scheduling or re-scheduling appointments for academic support, advising, or career services.
  • Support the Career Advising team by managing and filing internship paperwork.
  • Support the Career Advising team by tracking, reviewing, and processing student internship hours in coordination with Career Advising staff.
  • Support the Director of Student Success by creating promotional materials related to services.
  • Support the Director of Student Success with efforts related to student retention.
  • Support the Director of Academic Support and Placement with processes related to academic outreach and student engagement with support services.
  • Provide information about student use, needs, and gaps in support to the Director of Academic Support and Placement and the Director of Student Success.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records in accordance with College policies, FERPA, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and assessment activities related to student success initiatives.
  • Support special events, workshops, orientation programs, and outreach activities sponsored by Student Success and Academic Support.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required in support of college events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of the position.

Compensation: At Landmark College, our compensation philosophy reflects our institutional values, our commitment to fairness and equity, and our role as a transformative educational community. The compensation for the above position is $42,300 - $63,500.
