Changing Your Story - Dylan Sullivan

Video Transcript

When I came to Landmark, I had no love for myself. I came to Landmark believing the awful stories I was telling to myself about my self-worth and what I deserved. Slowly but surely though, those stories started to change. They started to change as I met with my adviser and learned how to advocate for myself. They started to change as I made friends and found study strategies that worked for me. They started to change as I told my story of neurodiversity as a campus Ambassador. They started to change when I was accepted into the AIE-STEMPLOS scholarship program. Those stories started to change as my professors became my mentors, as I started taking leadership roles, and I began being asked to represent our community. But, most importantly, those stories started to change when I saw others being their authentic, colorful, neurodiverse selves and celebrating one another while doing so. Seeing that gave me permission to do the same. So thank you, Landmark, for helping me learn to love my authentic neurodiverse self.
