Library Co-sponsors Campus-Wide Food Drive

For the 9th year, the Library is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Putney Foodshelf through Project Feed the Thousands. This year, the Empty Bowls Student Group are co-sponsors, and B.A. student Nginya Malafa has been assisting the outreach effort for his Civic Engagement (SS 3031) course. Donations will be collected through Dec. 1st.

The Putney Foodshelf began in 2006 in response to local hunger. It now serves over 35 families each week, and it benefits from support from both the Putney community--including Landmark College--and the larger effort of Project Feed the Thousands, which serves southeastern Vermont and southwestern New Hampshire for the past 20 years.

Landmark College donations come from the entire College community: students, staff, and faculty, including Chartwells, the College's food service provider. Last year Landmark College donated 230 pounds of food.

Donations this year will be collected through Dec. 1st. Collection bins are available in the Admin, Library, EAB, FAB, Student Center, Admissions, and the residence halls.
