Landmark College named one of Best Undergraduate Teaching colleges by U.S. News

Landmark College has been named to U.S. News & World Report's list of Best Undergraduate Teaching Colleges - Northeast in the 2019 "Best Colleges" rankings.

At number four, LC tied with the University of Maine - Farmington. Other institutions listed include the United States Coast Guard Academy, Paul Smith's College, and Colby-Sawyer College.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the rankings for Best Undergraduate Teaching focus on colleges and universities "where faculty and administrators are committed to teaching undergraduate students in a high-quality manner." U.S. News asked "top academics to name the schools that have an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.

This list, based on a school's academic reputation among others in higher education, reflects the number of mentions a school receives as a top teaching institution.

“Our listing as a top undergraduate teaching institution validates the College’s reputation for innovative and effective classroom instruction,” said Dr. Gail Gibson Sheffield, vice president for academic affairs at Landmark College. “This is a wonderful testament to the Landmark College faculty, advisors, and academic support staff, all of whom contribute to the teaching atmosphere at this unique College.”
