From left to right: Eric Ellman with mother Nancy Lieberman and father Mark Ellman"A school like Landmark, without a large endowment, really needs support to create and sustain the programs that extend beyond the classroom."

If you are reading this, Landmark has played an important and positive role in the direction of someone you care about, much as it has for our son, Eric.

Eric is currently a sophomore.  The summer before college, he attended Landmark’s summer program for high school students. It was a fantastic experience. What impressed us most about Landmark was how many long-tenured professionals were on staff with special education training and the comprehensive support systems Landmark provides.  The keys to success for students like Eric are challenging academics, social interaction and learning to self-advocate.  No other school we considered had all these supports.

We visited a number of other colleges before choosing Landmark. While these college programs were well-intentioned, none of them approached Landmark’s comprehensive programs.  This comprehensive approach has enabled our son to flourish not only academically, but socially, which in our view is just as important.

Through our giving history at our own alma maters, we have learned that tuition doesn’t cover the operational costs of a college. A school like Landmark, without a large endowment, really needs support to create and sustain the programs that extend beyond the classroom, programs to help our children make it to the next level at a critical point in their lives.

We are hoping that telling you that we are making a meaningful gift to the Landmark College Annual Fund will encourage you to be as generous as possible. What better use is there for your dollars than supporting the college that is setting the tone for your child’s future?

Warmest wishes,

Mark Ellman and Nancy Lieberman
