All courses are now offered online for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. Based on the emerging knowledge of coronavirus spread and edicts related to social distancing, we have no choice but to have students remain at home for the remainder of the semester. We must do this to ensure safety of all students and our community. Please check our Coronavirus Response page for up-to-date information.

Department of Liberal Studies

With nine disciplines represented, the Liberal Studies Department offers courses that explore the fundamental questions about what it means to be human. We offer both introductory and upper division courses that allow students to experience a wide range of offerings, from Ancient and Medieval Western culture to Environmental Literature, Introduction to Political Science to Diversity Psychology.

Small classes at Landmark College allow for personal attention from faculty, and several courses in Liberal Studies include a significant experiential component:  Cultural Anthropology, Civic Engagement, Personal History and all of our Study Abroad options allow students to engage in material in a variety of ways.  Our faculty are passionate about what they teach and design their courses to engage students, create a supportive classroom environment, and share that passion.
