We are hiring for an assistant professor of Composition and Rhetoric, with a start date in August 2025. The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of introductory through advanced composition courses and will hold interest and expertise in accessible pedagogies and working with neurodivergent learners.
We seek individuals with expertise in writing studies, composition and rhetoric, digital and information literacies, and/or writing and reading across the curriculum.
All assistant professors are expected to be active community members in service to their students, departments, and the College; to engage in scholarly work in their fields or in the scholarship of teaching and learning; and to continue to pursue professional development.
Qualifications:
A terminal degree (e.g. Ph.D.), or commensurate experience in the discipline is desired. Priority will be given to candidates who possess a working understanding of the nature of specific learning disabilities and teaching experience at the college level.
