Administrative Assistant—Financial Aid
We have an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant in Financial Aid.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, this position advises and counsels students, parents, and the Landmark College community on aspects of financial aid process and assists students with onboarding. This position also shares responsibility for delivering excellent customer service as a member of the Enrollment Services team as well as supports and participates in activities that enhance enrollment and retention of students. This is an entry-level position, and successful professionals in this role are primed to advance to positions of increasing responsibility on the Financial Aid team. This role is based on our Putney, VT campus. A generous sign-on bonus is available, and a flex schedule is also possible.
This role assists team members with general office duties including but not limited to, composing and copying documents, managing files and coordinating appointments, answer telephones, taking messages, and independently securing information to resolve questions and provide responses where applicable. In addition, this position will assist in the processing of federal, state, and institutional financial aid in accordance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications and Expectations::
High school diploma or GED required. Successful candidates will balance strong customer service and communication skills with excellent attention to detail working with financial aid records and systems. A commitment to a diverse and inclusive community and an interest in serving students with LDs are desirable. This role requires the ability to participate in various Enrollment Services outreach events (some evenings and weekends) including in-person and virtual presentations, and open houses.
