Fabio Arnaldo Ayala joined the Landmark College family as the Resident Dean for Alumni Hall. Prior to coming to LC, Fabio Arnaldo spent 2 years completing his M.A. degree in Peacebuilding & Conflict Transformation at SIT Graduate Institute. During this time, Fabio was also able to offer his services as a community conflict mediator, restorative justice trainer, and youth advocate at the Greater Falls Community Justice Center in Bellows Falls, Vermont. With two undergraduate degrees in Spanish Studies and Religious Education from Andrews University, Fabio Arnaldo’s professional background also consists of several years of experience as a secondary education Spanish teacher, youth development specialist, and a K-12 school chaplain. These professional experiences have allowed him to understand the value of investing in and cultivating communities that are intentionally inclusive, restorative, and equitable for all its members.
As an Afro-Latino American with strong roots in Puerto Rico, Fabio Arnaldo has dedicated his personal and professional life to the journey of cultural competency, cross-cultural awareness, and the deepening of his understanding of global citizenship. As Fabio sets his eyes towards his future at Landmark College, he hopes to continue refining his proficiencies and expanding upon his skillset in hopes of becoming a contributor towards equitable and sustainable social change.
