Clayton Lewis, Ph.D.
Clayton Lewis is Professor of Computer Science, Fellow of the Institute of Cognitive Science, and Scientist in Residence at the Coleman Institute for Cognitive Disabilities at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he has been based since 1984. He is well known for his research on evaluation methods in user interface design.
Trends in Assitive Technology
Two developments in mainstream technology have important potential for increased access to improved assistive technology. Increasingly, smart phones are becoming open to independent software developers, including students. The Raising the Floor initiative, spearheaded by Gregg Vanderheiden of the University of Wisconsin, aims to build basic assistive technology into the public information infrastructure, increasing the accessibility of applications delivered via the Web.
