It is a fundamental teaching principle at Landmark College that students who learn differently require different kinds of teaching methods and strategies.
The work of our teaching faculty and academic administration is to assure ongoing innovation and development in these areas. Our faculty members have a uniquely powerful dedication and commitment to a common approach to teaching and learning. Our academic program's focus on effective instruction makes this area the college's highest priority in working with students.
It is an equally fundamental principle that this work of ongoing innovation must be grounded in some basic principles of sound educational practice. We know that good teaching is not a secret or mystery. Landmark College has served as a laboratory for the development of effective instructional methods and practices for individuals who learn differently for almost 20 years.
Our faculty has unparalleled practical experience in working with students with learning disabilities and attention disorders. Our academic program is organized in a way that assures that our practices continually improve and develop. Faculty members share their expertise, try innovative new methods, and ground all of their work in sound learning disability and AD/HD learning theory and current research. The teaching methods that we disseminate through our National Institute all have their origin in the college classroom. This ground-breaking work is supported by several major federal grants.
