2009 Landmark College Parent Night
Navigating the College Search Process:
A Special Presentation for Parents of College-Bound Students Who Learn Differently
For parents of students who learn differently, navigating the college search process can be especially confusing and difficult. Is a four-year college the right path? Would a local community college be a better starting point? How much extra money will special LD support programs cost?
Landmark College has more than a quarter-century of expertise in helping students with learning disabilities and AD/HD.
As a special service to high school educators and counseling professionals who work with students who learn differently, Landmark College has developed an on-site Parent Night that can demystify the search process for parents and their college-bound students — and help them identify the right college match for their educational circumstances.
Our complimentary Parent Night covers the following areas:
- Five Questions to Ask During the College Search
- The Top Concerns of Students with Learning Disabilities and AD/HD in Choosing a College
- Strategies that Help "At-Risk" Students Thrive and Offer Life-long Impact
A portion of our Parent Night presentation can be tailored to specific questions your parents might have. Time permitting, representatives from the College can meet with other members of your school’s counseling or special education staff to discuss topics of interest.
To schedule a Parent Night at your school, complete our online request form today. Availability is limited to select states and offered on a first-come basis.
You may also contact Landmark College Admissions at 802-387-6718 or e-mail parentsnight@landmark.edu with questions.
