LCIRT works with organizations to develop collaborative relationships, training faculty and staff to become
mentors and teachers of students and colleagues in a number of specialized areas. Two programs are currently offered,
and additional programs can be developed and customized for the needs of your institution.
Master Notebook Train-the-Trainer
The Master Notebook Train the Trainer program is a 3-day course, plus half day follow-up and consulting services,
designed to prepare experienced teachers and current users of the Master Notebook to train their peers. The Master
Notebook consists of a series of materials, methods, and strategies to help students organize information, facilitate deeper
cognitive processing, and develop metacognition.

Assistive Technology and Learning Strategies Consulting
The Assistive Technology and Learning Strategies Consulting program incorporates an ongoing, collaborative partnership
model to provide organizations with the infrastructure and capabilities necessary to deliver effective assistive technology
solutions for students. The program consists of needs assessment, specialized consulting, teacher and staff training, and
ongoing evaluation to ensure that assistive technology is combined with effective learning strategies so that students get
