Spring 2013 Speaker Series: Dr. Peter Eden

Mar 4

Plan to attend as Landmark College President Dr. Peter Eden presents his perspectives on 'Life in the Post-Genome Era'

What is a genome and how does it make us human? How do we differ from other mammals and all life forms when it comes to our genetic basis?  How does genetic inheritance and epigenetics play a role in our physical and mental make-up (i.e. genotypes and phenotypes)? How can we use technology to identify and understand human genomics in a way that informs and protects all humans, in terms of health, behavior and our right to privacy?

Explore these questions as Landmark College President Dr. Peter Eden, an expert in the molecular and cellular biology, and biotechnology, presents his views on “Life in the Post-Genome Era” as part of the College’s Spring 2013 Academic Speaker Series, “Turning Points: Science and Technology.”

The free event, open to the public, begins at 7 p.m., Monday, March 4th in the Brooks M. O’Brien Auditorium of the East Academic Building at Landmark College.
