DESCRIPTION:The CDC now estimates that 1 in 88 children is affected by a
 n autism spectrum disorder\, and the ratio of boys to girls w
 ith ASD is 4:1. News stories\, research projects\, academic pu
 blications\, and media productions about autism have been pro
 liferating as Western nations try to understand this disorde
 r. This session will tap into research on gender and sex-rel
 ated aspects of ASD being conducted at the University of Cam
 bridge and elsewhere. Come find out more about the “over-m
 asculinized brain” hypothesis of ASD\, as well as male and 
 female differences in prevalence and symptomology.  We will
  discuss a handful of scientific articles on the role of sex
